Pimashkin) We record and analyze spontaneous calcium oscillations in astrocytes in rat hippocampal slices loaded with calcium sensitive dye Oregon Green 488 BAPTA1 AM . Image sequences are processed by original analyzing software ASTROSCANNER. Active cells are identified by analyzing the changes in intensity of fluorescence signal. The characteristics of signal transmission between active cells are investigated with advanced cross-correlation and wavelet transformation methods. Functional network topology is identified by calculating small world and scale free cluster coefficients.
